I would very much like to write a review for your cold wraps since they have been such a help to me. I am an avid tennis player that has this year suffered from both elbow and achilles tendonitis. Symptoms of Hepatitis

What are some of the symptoms of hepatitis?

All forms of hepatitis have similar symptoms, which are very similar to the symptoms you have with the flu. However, if the symptoms persist, you may have a form of hepatitis. Some universal symptoms of hepatitis include:

  • Fatigue. Persistent fatigue that doesn’t improve with rest.
  • Nausea and vomiting. Nausea and vomiting, sometimes with blood.
  • Poor appetite. You may experience a sudden and unexplained loss of appetite. Also, your flu-like symptoms and general malaise can contribute to a loss of appetite.
  • Muscle pain. Myositis is an inflammation of the muscles. You may experience muscle pain witht or without joint swelling.
  • Joint pain. Joint pains are more common than arthritis in people with hepatitis; however, arthritis is a serious complication that can arise from hepatitis.
  • Abdominal pain. Tenderness, especially of the area over your liver, is a key symptom.
  • Jaundice. Yellowish eyes and skin.
  • Darkened urine. Due to your liver involvement, your urine can be affected.
  • Diarrhea. Due to the viral infection and abdominal pain, you can experience diarrhea.
  • Water retention. An important function of the liver is to rid the body of excess fluid through the kidneys. Hepatitis can affect normal liver function.
  • Abnormal menstruation. The affect hepatitis has on your liver, may also cause you to experience abnormalities with your menstruation cycle.

What are the complications?

Other problems that can develop in relation to Hepatitis, but are uncommon include:

  • Kidney disease. Inflammation of the blood vessels (vasculitis), which may result in kidney disease.
  • Arthritis. Inflammation of the joints (which is a common symptom) can eventually lead to arthritis.
  • Cirrhosis. Liver inflammation, which can lead to more serious conditions such as, cirrhosis or liver cancer.
  • Organ issues. Problems with other organs, including sudden gallbladder inflammation (acute cholecystitis) and inflammation of the pancreas (pancreatitis), may occur, but these complications are uncommon. Inflammation and disruption of the kidney (membranoproliferative glomerulonephritis).
